One of my goals for 2018 was to give a TEDx talk and here it is – I'm thrilled and elated to announce that I've been invited to give a TEDx talk this month (October 2018) in Kuala Lumpur. If you can see it in your mind then you can have it in real life!
Wish me the best!
TEDx: Honored. Humbled I'm to be able to use this platform to present my passion for Business Storytelling and inspire entrepreneurs around!
A lot of poeple have been asking me how to get an opportunity to be a TEDx speaker. I think – just like there's no pathway to success there's no specific answer to the question. However, if I'd to put out an answer to this it would:
1. Get Your Big Message Ready
You only have 18 minutes to give the speech of your life. While that may feel sound like an eternity to be standing on a stage by yourself, the time goes by fast.
Squeezing a big message into a short amount of time requires you to be concise. What stories can you tell to drive home your points? What data is critical to share? How many details should you give away?
You don't need to have your entire speech written before you apply for a TEDx event, but you do need a good idea about what you're going to say and how you're going to say it. Once you've got that figured out, you're ready to complete an application.
2. Research for Future TEDx event and apply OR Get Discovered by the Organizers
There's also a chance you might attract the attention of an event organizer who invites you to give a talk. That's what happened to me – an event organizer invited me to give my talk after having met me at a Startup event where I was mentoring.
So if you're serious about becoming a future TEDx speaker, build a blog, create a website, and get active on social media. Start talking about your big message.
Don't worry about keeping your message a secret.
"The Undeniable Power of Business Storytelling"
Storytelling is a superpower that we all possess (sorry, Superman), but it sometimes doesn’t get the respect it deserves.
Sure, storytelling is innate to human beings, but that doesn’t mean that it’s easy–or comes naturally.
The good news, though, is that business storytelling is a skill that can be learned. If you want to learn how to tell a better story as a leader, or to help clarify your brand for customer or employees?
Khushboo will be lifting the lid on what she know about the art and practice of storytelling — you can keep it in your back pocket to supercharge presentations or seal the deal when you finally get five minutes to pitch that major influencer.
Enjoy the undeniable power of storytelling.
Getting access to great ideas haven't always been easy. Back in the day, you would only be in the loop if you were literate, educated and rich. Good thing times have changed. The internet has made sharing ideas a breeze. And no one is doing it better than TED. TED is a non-profit organization that's big on spreading awesome ideas. Twice a year, TED holds this conference, where thought leaders from around the world give some mind-blowing talks. Then TED sticks them online so you can watch them for free!
In TEDxAPUKL, brings you to an insight of "Ctrl + Alt + Delete. Reset The Way You Think", how people should open up their mind in order to understand how there is always more than one side to anything. Take control, change yourself for the better, step out of that box and reset the way you think.
